Passing By
Passing bye
If I take a right that would lead me to you
And if I keep driving maybe ill find something new
Not a long drive but just far enough
To make you miss my love
The condos are tall the Sun shines
A million other people are passing by
I wonder if some of them are broken too
I can't be the only one with damaged goods
Its days like this a simple melody
Brings me to question what will become of me
Maybe I can pretend with a smile and a shrug
That I don't really need your good love
I smoke a cigarette to pass the time
Connecticut decides to welcome me
Driving way too fast I cross the line
I don't even care to speak my mind
That is ok the skies are blue
And if I were to leave this afternoon
I would smile and embrace my fate
For I lived one mile at a time on this interstate
