Passages
oh im taking all the passages
the cobble stone pathways
take back in time oh
take me to the days
where the ships all sank each other
as the horizon swallowed whole
the ocean and the world was flat
and we were on our own
oh im taking all the passages
the cobble stone pathways
and asking if well ever get back to our old ways
well I've been hearing all about the living and the lost
worries left and right about who's here to stay
and who well toss
toss off on the sidelines well thats what we all deserve
I've written it a thousand times
and sung it with the birds
well well make our nest in the highest of the trees
and look down on each other for throwing away the leaves
the leaves that build our houses and the branches that will sway
as our nests are crumbling we reach out for each other and we say
oh where are all the passages
the cobble stone pathways
take back in time oh
take me to the days
where the ships all sank each other
as the horizon swallowed whole
the ocean and the world was flat
and we were on our own
oh where are all the passages
the cobble stone pathways
were asking if well ever get back to our old ways
oh where are all the passages
the pathways top
when we've been givin' everything and still were giving up
