Pass of a Lifetime
A graceful ballet toward the in-zone
the perfect PASS...
it was the final game of his senior class
The crowd on their feet
hearts beating as one
the final game of the season
they had never won
He reached and strained
he dreamed and believed
but, he could not hold on
he stumbled and fumbled down to the grass
One little PASS had ended a dream
all was lost
a tragedy it seemed
He rolled to his back
and stood to his feet
all at once
a loud ringing ingulfed his realm of grief
Sweat pouring down
a tear of dis-belief
He sprung to his feet
and let out a scream
His alarm had woke him from a terrible dream
he laughed and he sighed
and pondered his championship game
Tonight was the night
as his fingers teemed
a PASS of a lifetime
He cried out, O' God please help me receive..........
