Almost every city could claim this "shoppers bustling crowds bells ring; children caroling joy is everywhere"

Thank you so much, Anaya. Actually, it has been a long time since I was in Paris at Christmas, but I still do remember it as a very special experience.

I was surprised to learn the French exchange gifts on Epiphany, so Christmas day was a bustling shopping day in Paris. Thanks, Ilene. The Christmas customs around the world are quite interesting.

Sounds bliss Milton, reminds me of the time I went to Paris and went right to the top of the tower. I always like to stay at home over Christmas, I know some like to get away but to each his own. Tom

This is reminiscent of when I was in Paris a number of years ago at Christmastime. Oh, yes, I agree, I'd rather stay at home for Christmas, but I was young, single, and adventurous back then.

Thank you so much, Jo. If it rhymed I would send it to the contest, but, alas, it lent itself to the senryu, so I'll let it stand.
