Parents' Prayer

Lord several years ago we came to you in prayer Thanking you for binding us together in your care You knew how much we wanted a brand new life to love And so you granted to us this blessing from above When this child came into our lives we gave him back to you We promised with your help we'd do all we could do To raise this child and teach him about your love and grace And you would always give him your strength to run the race But along the way he got lost and couldn't find his way Now we come before you once again today Humbled in your presence please hear us as we pray Please once again remind him although he has sinned You're waiting there with open arms to welcome him back in And Lord while you're at it would you remind him too When he came into our lives we gave him back to you Thank you Lord for hearing us and in your name we pray Very soon we all will have a great reunion day - Amen
