Pardoned Not Paroled

You were born in to sin You were living in prison You were waiting to face the judgment There came a visitor to your cell Who said,He paid your dept to set you free from burning in Hell You couldn't believe what you heard until He stepped into the light You saw a sight that caused a stir in your soul He wore a bloody crown of thorns on His head and nail prints in His hands and feet He had the keys to your cell dangling from His right hand You fell to your bed,you bowed your head and believed in what He had said He opened up the door to your cell and set you free You heard Him say, " Go your way and sin no more For you have been pardoned not paroled" Silent Songs: written by Stephen J. Vattimo July 26, 1992
