This poem was inspired by the contest and the new form introduced my our dear poet friend, Suzette.
A lonely island stands so mysteriously in the middle of the ocean,
A rocky mountain surrounds it, concealing its enchanting beauty,
The focal point of it is a dreamland where one’s ken is beyond,
A lonely island stands so mysteriously.
The animals dance around on all kinds of fruit trees day and night so gaily,
Birds, insects and nocturnal dwellers sing, chiming every crustacean
To herald that a paradise lost is found , thanks God be the glory!
Let’s go and explore its mesmerizing beauty and mystery, we all valiantly can,
At the entrance, the cold breeze and flowers in full bloom welcome us heartily,
Crystal- clear water on falls, springs and streams splashes cooler than a fountain,
A lonely island stands so mysteriously.
