~~ Painting by lauri blank ~~

----

elegant creature, hidden from view, if only briefly

. . upon wings that whisper ever so softly . .

allow inspiration to gently lift me,

beyond clouds of tender serenity,

as spring sings sweetly -

serenading to me

a symphony

- peacefully -

peacefully,

a symphony

elevates my creativity,

and i drift gracefully

here with you butterfly, delicately

- embracing my muse and its harmony -

upon wings that flutter-by, if only briefly

elegant creature, it is you that lifted me

Brandy, coming back to say this is one of my favorites of yours and always a joy to re-read. I find butterflies so beautiful, graceful and delicate, a metaphor for many elements of life and love that need our TLC. The French title adds a special magic to this poem, as does the butterfly shape. I resonate with your thought that symphonies elevate creativity... I picture you putting a favorite one on the stereo and sitting down to create another masterpiece. Blessings ~ John

My heart rejoices in that fact. I'm smiling at your thought, of me creating another masterpiece while listening to music. Soon, I'm sure. Inspiration is everywhere. Thank you, my dear sweet friend, for all your kind and encouraging words. My best to you. :) Hugs, Brandy

Indeed, springs sings to us a serene symphony. I know how much you love music and nature, and those passions shine in these words, Brandy. "Here with you butterfly, delicately - embracing my muse and its harmony". Just gorgeous in every way, including the well-crafted shape. My favorite symphony is the New World by Dvorak, and I love closing my eyes to it and picture the eagle soaring, the buffalo grazing, and the butterfly fluttering by. Hugs ~ John

The shape of a hour glass, to measure a brief time here on earth. The poetry hypnotic. 'elevates your creativity' sure does, as beautiful and graceful as the butterfly you write about..

Our muse can sometimes be as elusive as a butterfly and we only get a fleeting glimpse as the thoughts drift by, we must cease the moment when we have the chance. Your thoughts float on butterfly wings, Brandy, beautifully written. Hugs, John

Your poems are magical rides in romantic wonderlands on wings of tender passion my friend. Mesmerizing verses from start to finish. Lovely ending lines: upon wings that flutter-by, if only briefly.... elegant creature, it is you that lifted me. A painting worth framing, Brandy. So, I am saving in my FAVES.
