Paper Boats
white-colored,
lined with cobalt and crimson
made from sheets of paper, folded together
my little paper boats
watch them sail and be carried away
by the waves of yesterday
see them float on the clear waters of innocence
and unwind as i, your captain, imagine
steering the wheel with my little hands
my crew and i glide faster
race with the other paper boats
have a playful battle
while enjoying the breeze of laughter
look at how these little ships
paint smiles, so timeless,
upon those cute little pirates
leaving them a rowdy feeling
as joyful tears rain down
sinking our little paper boats, gracefully,
both the pirates and captains think:
"they may have gone
but i can always make another one"
