Painting My World
How I paint my world
Depends on the day at hand
My heart holds the brush
Some are vibrant blue
Awash with the sea and the sky
Melancholy eyes
Comes the gray and black
When the paint drips with sorrow
Faded hues of pain
Passionate red days
Filled with fire and the heart's song
Rose tinted glasses
Lush green of nature
Alive with such promises
The humming bird's wing
Always rainbow days
Changing with the prism's turn
Laughter and my tears
