Pain

Pain, you can feel, Takes away your zeal. Pain, you can't see, What it's doing to me. Pain, indescribable, Sometimes inescapable. Pain, it makes you cry, Folk look and wonder why. Pain, hidden inside my form, To folk outside I look quite norm. Pain, no one knows how I suffer, They can't offer me a buffer. Pain, excruciating, folk try to help, Wonder why their touch makes me yelp. Pain, sometimes drives me to despair, Feeling that folk out there never care. Pain, sometimes drives folk far away, When I cry, wishing they would stay. Pain, woke up and it is easier today. Feel almost 'normal' enjoying the delay. Pain, It's a gamble, good and bad days, Pain, for all those suffering in any way, I pray life gives you a little slack today. © Dave Timperley 13 December 2016
