Overwhelming
“Wondrously overwhelming is God’s goodness that leads recipient toward wondrous good works.” By the Poet
God’s overwhelming love prevails
Freeing heart from sin-chaining pain
Since blest compassion never fails
Offering life eternal gain.
Christ’s overwhelming saving light
Always glows midst radiant grace
Cheering faith toward service height
To surmount tests along life’s race.
The Spirit’s overwhelming peace
Keeps on refreshing weary soul
Midst serene care that does not cease
For zest that props reaching-out goal.
I’m overwhelmed as I draw nigh*
To my Saviour for triumph’s fly.
