Outside my window small sparrows are singing Early birds with dulcet songs drifting From somewhere a baby cries A loud dog replies Music sings With Violins A hummingbird flies With wild wings going clockwise And in the breeze leaves are murmuring Outside my window small sparrows are singing ____________________________ June 16, 2016 Poetry/Andaree/Rhyme/Outside My Window Copyright Protected, ID 06-801-903-16 All Rights Reserved, 2016, Constance La France Submitted to the Premiere Contest Number 4 sponsor, A Skat. Wings, I love the shape of your poem, the internal rhymes, the first and last lines as bookends, but mostly the picture your beautiful words paint. Excellent poetry.

Constance, I like the hourglass shape seemingly breaking the day covered by the singing of sparrows. Now put that trophy on the mantle and dust it every day....
