Out On the Town

We are girls out on the town Dressed to kill in sexy gown Where we meet and mix with boys But remember we’re not toys We shall dance and taste some booze But we’re careful not to lose The composure and decor Do not say we are a bore Just behaving as we please We can flirt and we can tease Showing off with mild intent Till the night is almost spent And deprived of all its sheen We go home in limousine A quick shower, straight to bed What a lovely time we’ve had! ------------------------------------------ Contest: Gender Bender Sponsor: Richard Lamoureux

Oh such a great poem, Paul. Sounds like me and my girlfriends on 'girls night out', which was all the time, before marriage and children cramped our partying styles :)) Are you sure you weren't with us? You describe it so well (except for the limo part haha!) :)) Boy, did we have fun going out dancing back then, mixing and mingling till the wee hours... A great write and it was a great entry for the Gender Bender contest! Warmest wishes always. ~Susan

Thank you, Susan. I am glad it brought you back some lovely memories. As for the limo, I must admit that I've never been in one! I enjoyed dancing, but it's been a while since I last did!! ~ Warm regards // paul

HI Olive-eloi :) Pity you did not make it in time; it would have been a boy-girl battle!! ... but you can still use it in another contest:)

Dear Paul, This is a wonderful entry for the gender blender. The girls are very much like I was in my teens. Wishing you success in the contest! Love, Carolyn

I love this one Paul, the way you ended it is definitely from a woman's point of view. Often men expect much more from a date and it may be insulting to a woman. Women (with class) enjoy the luxury of getting to know someone first. You did a great job on this and I am sure it will do well in the contest.

What a cute gender bender. It's like a bright short film featuring a night out with best friends shot using a mobile phone. :D
