Out of Vietnam

I was so young, when Vietnam was the talk, but I remember neighbors, joining a walk. They said, it was senseless to be way over there, and the pain, and suffering , was more than we should bare. My cousins husband stepped on a mine, his hearing damaged so they sent him home, and that was fine. Signs were posted, and some were carried around, get our troops out of Vietnam. Those were the days, people had a voice, but now days, seems, we don't have a choice. Now it's a new war, but really the same, just different ground than Vietnam. Maybe someone can end this war, before we forget , what the fight is for.
