Out of Respect
Out of Respect
What would it be like if it was me
Unleashing chains setting world free
And in my honor a poem was wrote
Then I grabbed my hat and coat.
Over the ocean and across sea so broad
While I gave much glory to my God
In a prayer of praise I had said
Out of respect and devotion to the dead.
My dad one of them happened to have been
Memory of him returns again and again
Haunting me to this very sad day
Remember him when he passed away.
Day was dreary as it started to rain;
Could see it beat against my window pane
And from then on I would promise
Never would I ever wish this upon us.
There is something about death and dying
And destruction causing me to be defying
My adorning Lord who a table prepared
Even though He knew I never cared.
Joyful experience to me was jubilant
And from then on wherever I went
A prayer of thanks to God would give
For letting me on this precious earth live.
