Out of Breath

Always excited by the rising sun, Watching as the shadows run Every single day, I’m trying to make it through Sometimes I’m so exhausted my face looks blue Take my exhalation but please Lord leaves me some breath I see the steady rise and fall of my chest I clench my fist hoping I've grabbed the last inch of air I have to pace myself knowing that my beating heart is still there Let us breathe in the happiness and freedom of the new day That’s why peace and joy comes my way A lot of people don't understand that breathing is a luxury Definitely a gift from God to you and me Your life is a waste if you worry all the time So take it day by day and it will turn out fine Breathe the world in and then let it out, As we envision what life is really about “Poetry is breathing words that gives a reader pause.” ? Ankita Singhal “To breathe is to live.” ? Joseph Rain “When a turbulent mind and wounded heart surrenders to grace, breathing is easy.” ? T.F. Hodge
