Out

My walls climb higher as I block the world, Out. I don’t trust you. Get away from me. Let me shut down. You are poison to me, dead to the touch. Don’t be offended. For I am only protecting myself: From love, and to love. It kills all in its path. It tastes bitter on my tongue, To say I love you. Do not make me say it. Leave me alone, Before I blow. I’m better on my own, Without you I do not need your assistance. I’ve fought alone this far, I can make it the rest. Your help is not wanted. Get out.
