Our Life's Journey

As each of us makes our journey through life, There will be occasions of troublesome strife. There will be storms that will challenge us, Problems that somehow we must overcome. I think if we try to solve them on our own, There will come times when we're all alone. That's when the storm will be at it's peak, The time has come for help we must seek. We have to choose right which path to take, Confiding in some folk can be a big mistake. Some may smile, but sincerity they lack, The ones that will gossip behind your back. Put your trust and faith in one that you love, For me that One is my Father above. He is always there come hail or come shine. He says I am His and I know He is mine. So when trouble tries to invade my life, I can turn to Him, He makes me smile. That may sound silly, it may sound daft, But my Heavenly Father knows His craft. Give Him some time, let Him hear your plea, Once I have told Him my fears seem to flee. I am once again sailing in waters calm, I trust in Him to keep me from harm. Always remembering to give Him His due, I end my day with a loving Thank You. © Dave Timperley 20 August 2016
