Our First Love

We must stem a seam when when shaking hands slip either side of an engaging story Fixed into a ribbon it may be secure Its luster ensured If loosened, its grief may stay and engulf us They may call it feeble but we deem it our first love It may choose to stray as I delay Sunsets enthrall my sight as I decide A rising dawn cannot adorn my front You may affirm a lonely step astride As shameless creeping tears us down I may in time admit I'm lost But must submit this love was first The fault I straddle ignites untouched There are steep valleys each side of us Whichever one you choose ..I will gladly fall
