Author's Notes: "Our Final Dance with Death," is a special couplet that I just finished today. I looked at this particular theme from some of my own philosophical perspectives concerning the notions and thoughts that may enter one's own mind when each of us as human beings reach life's end point. Hope, faith, courage, and a spirit of love seemed to embody the specific approach I was looking at in this instance. After all, in the end, we are all part of God's eternal cosmic creation and His unending love! Amen! (Gary Bateman - September 12, 2018) (Couplet)

Thematic Categories: angel, blessing, death, devotion, faith, god, and symbolism.

Our Final Dance with Death One way or another in this life each of us shall end up, In that final dance of our life—that dance with Death. Some shall experience this dance routine earlier in life, Whilst others shall follow later in the course of a life’s run. Hope, faith, courage, and a spirit of love may help each of us To cope with the expected final eventualities from this dance. It’s oft easier to wax philosophically about someone else’s Circumstances with Death’s spectre rather than our very own. Ultimately, one’s faith in Almighty God is the eternal power Far beyond our death that beckons all of us to His Kingdom. And so, this final dance with Death is our transition from the Mortal Coil as our souls ascend skyward into God’s Kingdom. Deus est qui regit omnia—and we are one with Him in the end. Deus miseratur, Deus vobiscum—Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! Gary Bateman, Copyright © All Rights Reserved September 12, 2018 (Couplet)

Gary, what seemed so far off when I was young is more on my mind now. So, I have done what I can to provide for my wife and family. After I’m gone, it’s up to them although I have often expressed the desire to have my ashes stored in front of a TV so I can at least watch (lol).

Hello Duke, And many thanks for your read and comments here!! I am moving in the same direction now age-wise. I've planned to have my ashes one day spread over the ocean (or in this instance, the North Sea that lies parallel to upper-north region here in Germany.) In front of the TV, eh?? At least this way, you won't miss any of your favorite programs!! (LOL!!) Best Wishes, Gary

About three years ago I danced the dance of death...never been the same since...everyday the dance continues in someway or the other...A reality check you may say...A conscious write indeed...All the best Gary

Hello Arturo, Yes -- certainly, in 2012 (similar to what you've said), I too danced intensively with Death whilst in the hospital in intensive care on three different occasions. I am totally in line with what you've said in your comment. My challenging experience at that time was a definite reality check and gave me a deeper appreciation for and an understanding of some aspects of that "final dance." Best Always, Gary
