"our Connection"

Some days pour like water from a teapot... Other days like thick syrup from a spoon... When you miss someone so much you can't stop... Those feelings in your stomach bounce to a sad tune... Your eyelashes batting to a sound I have to write too... No time for missing a step or a shortcut to this stage... To play in sync we must share our thoughts for what to do... Your not as close as I would like, but our connection can't be caged... You know I miss you now more then my usual way, without you in my arms these words are my only say... I will write you a song to be my start, follow the notes and drift back to my heart...

Michael you trully have a way with words, enjoyed every line. My favorite was the EYELASHES BATTING SOUNDS I HAVE TO WRITE ABOUT. very impressive, sooner or later it all falls back together. Loved and enjoyed your poem,..LeeAnn

Michael, you grace our eyes with another Gem. Their is a magical warmth in your poetry, I must sit down and peruse your portfolio with a Oakey Chardonnay, now that's a sitting worth sitting for. Thank you for your kind comments on Six Sixty Six, I have no worries about writing about anything >> James

Such moving words, Michael. Indeed a "connection can't be caged," but I hope you keep your heart open and the right person finds their way inside. Beautiful poem! Love, Carolyn
