Our Back Yard

Twin poplars over eighty feet one proud and full of life Then nature in a twist of fate crept in one windy night Nature doesn't pick and choose it takes what's in its path The feeble weakling of the two a victim of its wrath Laying there upon the ground thirty feet of tree Stretched across the fallen leaves so very sad to see With winter coming very soon I know the joy it'll bring I slowly cut it into logs and my heart began to sing My fireplace will come to life bringing warmth and bliss And nature in its twist of fate will give us happiness.....
