Osamu

This poem is to you Mom, a soldier in battle Whom watches over me so close, my never-fading shadow I have learned so much from you, both good and bad Through thick and thin, rain or shine, you I’ve always had Because even through my flaws and faults you see me for who I am You take me in, like a second skin, and have become my number one fan I thought you knew everything Mom, my own personal Einstein But now I see you are human like me, and that too, is just fine Because I think you are tremendous just the way you are So I write, with love and might, my mom always raises the bar
