A question lays in front of sight To dwell in need of heart's delight You ask the reason for this dance I'll say to you romance, perchance A simple smile, your answer spoke This sharing gift desire awoke The movement slows, music turn When eyes do meet and slowly burn The final song, we go our way This passing time and ending play I'll say good night, you turn to leave You'll turn around, my hopes perceive

Courtship has always seemed like a dance to me, Frederic. You describe the give and take of emotions so well here. Hope often remains that love will be returned, even after "the final song" has played. Beautiful! Love, Carolyn
