Open Window

The end of the day hits my window sill Complete with dying rays from the sun I'll turn the porch light on as I sit, to watch a moth dance around for fun The night creeps in at its own pace My window open feeling a cool breeze The moth flies to and fro, a light to chase As I watch with some wine and cut cheeze I think of how we are like the moth Driven by our own fanatic desire, to set a course for lights we perceive Finding we are swept into a fire contest Chopped II 11/12/14

Wow! The image of this moth really comes to life, Frederic. They may smash into windows or fly into lights, but still they seem resilient. So are you, my friend. Love, Carolyn

Very powerful poem my dear friend Fred! Wow! When were swept and enveloped by any fire will burnt. Love your poem so filled of truth and meaning. Man sometimes gets a little too greedy with ambitions of power and money ended up destroying themselves and all they touch sometimes.too much pride and arrogance can do this to many folks.money and power are not the real dilemma is how man use it . A 7 for you! :) Love and light! xxx D.
