Only You
Will You save me one more time, Lord,
Free me from the chains within?
Though I heated, molded, hammered them
With my own two hands again.
Will You turn Your mercy back, Lord,
Since the truth, the way I knew?
When Your mercy delivers us -
Is it important "what" or "who?"
Can I, Should I, count on it,
Or more correctly, count on You?
Is it my trust or my deceit,
You respond to with such mercy -
With grace and love initiate?
Between these two, I need to see.
Is it not a "response" at all,
But simply You, You loving me?
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow,
You will my Savior always be.
It's not just my position for,
I am saved continually.
In this I rest and I rejoice,
No fear, no hindrance, no disgrace.
Daily I continue walking
To finish well and see His face.
