Only My Steps

Like a little white chapel in the distant night with the light of the moon casting blue shadows A sanctuary on a hill so peaceful silent pure and white In the sky shining like a rainbow ring on an ivory pillow below me flows as it were a sea of white uncapped billows As I slowly walk the isle of this graceful dale The snow draping everthing serene like a long pure wedding veil so still is the windless night as I stroll between the tall yet humbled white evergreens A blessful scene saving for my own foot steps Wonderful witness of God's creative majesty the whole of the land seems at perfect rest Above and below such are moments of tranquility with the last step I receive a kiss of the wintery
