I find it interesting that you ended with the lines..."a lone soul," and related it to the lone orb of the sun. Congratulations, Susan.

Yes, it is cool, Angie! :) They are very pretty flowers, it looks like a golden daisy with a black center. They just happened to look like what was in the contest prompt. The contest isn't closed so no winners yet.. you can find it under Poetry Contests in the side bar.. The contest name is Double Tetractys 3. You should try writing one and enter the contest. Love this! I am seeing many poets drawn to this picture . It was the one that captured me as well. I had no idea what flowers those were, but I like them being black eyed susans.

Surrounded by black eyed Susans, I doubt I would feel lonely. Since no such flowers are around me, then I am lonely. A poem that makes you think...when I can. ~~

oh my goodness! sunflowers as black-eyed Susans, and so apt! love it! Didn't I say you have the edge first...of course it was in Espaniol, but I'm sure that Eve will agree with me! Bellisima! :))
