One Wonders
One wonders, where in the world,
are the good, when experiencing nothing, but bad, in all.
Waiting and waiting, for an ounce of dear kindness,
from a person, whose humanity, will suddenly, then stall.
One then wonders, what has one then done, to deserve,
such treatment, when one has been nothing, but kind, in return.
Fear upon fear, is felt, and put forth, in response,
as soon as, you're nice; receiving nothing, but a great, big burn.
One therefore wonders, is love worth, the effort,
if negative interactions, with people, is sometimes, the case.
To do, just to do, regardless, of how true, to go on,
despite, not letting the world's attitude, become our, true base.
