One Thing
One anguished night I lay awake and calling out your name,
I cried out for some comfort for this dull and aching pain.
That special place your life once filled is now a void inside,
It hurts to look for meaning in the senseless way you died.
Today I searched for one small glimpse of truth to help me cope,
Just one thing gave it meaning, only one thing brought me hope:
The love you had for Jesus, like a lamb in its shepherd's care,
Now my goodbye is His hello,
But son, I'll see you there,
My son, I'll see you there.
