One Thing
One thing you can't take from me
Is the experience of my life
Something so inherently,
But apparently my strife...
One thing you will never own,
Are my thoughts before I speak,
Since your maturity has shown,
They are way beyond your reach...
One thing you will never see,
Are my tears before they fall,
Since I'm the one who sets them free,
From the place in which they crawl...
One thing you can't guarentee,
Is the only thing I know,
That comes from such a place so deep,
That it never overflows...
And one thing you can never be,
Are the answer to my dreams,
Since dreams are meant to set us free,
And not trap us in between...
