One Sad Christmas Again

as CHRISTMAS approaches I am full of e b o n y woe,
for all my heart longs for is her smile so bright-
her death so sudden, so hard to let go,
as CHRISTMAS approaches I am full of e b o n y woe.
I had dreams of more kisses under the mistletoe,
now I am blinded by her death’s site.
as CHRISTMAS approaches I am full of e b o n y woe-
for all my heart longs for is her smile so b r i g h t.
this time of year is the h a r d e s t to deal,
when the ivory dove flies I think of her death-
I don’t think this pain will ever heal,
this time of year, is the h a r d e s t to deal.
I think of her hazel eyes with a tint of teal,
and how they stayed open after her final breath-
this time of year, is the h a r d e s t to deal,
when the ivory dove flies I think of her d e a t h.
I am a woman of a n g u i s h and torment combined,
someone who craves her laughter opening presents-
joy during CHRISTMAS I never shall find,
I am a woman of a n g u i s h and torment combined.
I sit and think how her sanity was entwined,
and how she never really understood her essence.
I am a woman of a n g u i s h and torment combined-
someone who craves her laughter opening p r e s e n t s.
