One Picture
I put a picture on Facebook in speaking for the unborn
It will barely even get a look but of ones filled with scorn
It's a baby with the saying that "it's time to abolish abortion"
All along we've been praying but the work is not yet done
This young baby in his green shirt, a sadness in his eye
I can sense his fresh new hurt in the wondering of why
There alone in the sand, behind, God's own ocean so vast
Yet both are so grand pending on the eye that you cast
His clenched fist filled with sand, his hair blowing in the wind
Knowing nothing of abortion on demand or the fight to rescind
I'm sure if he could speak he would pick the choice you would pick
As I pray God would make you meek and that something would click
But even if you don't care and you don't want to be bothered too
For it only becomes unfair if something like this happens to you
But as for that little boy on the beach, his frown being so prevalent
Just such an image should teach what was wholly entirely meant
