One of Her Songs
One of Her Songs
Was sure it was one of her songs
About life's rights and many wrongs;
Had been flung on bar room floor
And then tossed out the door.
Washed my hands of whole affair;
Now all I do is sit here and stare
Waiting for God to again see me
Saying I'm gonna have a baby.
Had to go out and hit the road;
Belly and me were about to explode;
So sing a song that I wrote to be
Sung on stage so you they'll see.
Lights shine and mike's turned up high
Sang as hard as she ever did try;
Just poor girl and toys could not afford
Who ended up with a Tony Award.
