One Last Kiss

One Last Kiss On his grave sun soon had started to set With deep regret remember when we met Down on sandy beach beside the salt sea Where I first loved her then she did me. All that is left is marker and a burial plot And she still comes back to see it a lot Many memories of him are in her mind Was a man of much spirit and so kind. Very big battle did occur the other day He was near death then passed away Now in heaven is where he has been Be together again only God knows when. She's sure he must have memories too About her love and what she went through From her sorrow, heartbreak and sadness If she only could have had one last kiss. James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran
