One Day

One day you'll know What it's like to be old Seeking the warmth And resisting the cold Awaiting that visit For Love ones to hold Willing to bend And easily to fold Awaiting a listener To hear stories unfold Not having the courage To stand and be bold When treated with honour Or possible gold Their Love won't shatter It'll always unfold Since Time can't be Bought And Time won't be Sold It'll be Time One Day To play their role Brenda Elizabeth Rose

Hi Brenda, your words ring with so much truth! I have been reflecting on this issue a lot recently as I care for my elderly mother and these are some of the real fears about the inevitablility of aging and getting old! Provocative piece, excellently written. A-7! Warmest regards. Pandita
