One Day

One day I will surely be gone And I will leave no trace I will definitely lay hold of The memory of my weary face I will bring everything that I can Including all my favorite books The scent that gives me melting looks The pens, pencils and paper That I utilized to write our future. I will not leave anything The blanket we used to cuddle The coffee cups we used to sip on The dishes we used to eat--in a boodle I will not leave my tears I will bring along all these traces Including this body that you love to caress And this fragrant hair you used to play with One day when I will be gone I will not leave a sign I hope you will understand, man After I die, you will be no longer mine.
