One Blessed Day

One blessed day I'll pass away, and leave this world behind. Then some will say, and feign to pray, as though they loved me kind. Yet I shall be beside the tree of life, without a care. When there set free, I then shall see, my Jesus' glory share. For He, my King, shall cause to sing, my heart, in triumph grand. My Everything! To Him I'll cling, and hold His nail scarred hand. Eternal grace! His shining Face shall light upon my soul. When not a trace of sin in place, I shall be fully whole. Until I go, and be it so, I try to give Him thanks. For even though sin brings me low, I'll kneel on golden banks. My greatest Friend, and heaven Send; with mercy 'pon my soul, He'll tend. With help to lend, my wounds He'll mend, and keep me safe unto the end.
