One Autumn Night

Sky turns red as the sun sets on an Autumn evening Night comes bringing in a slight chill I see the ruddy moon leaning over a hedge Like a red-faced farmer Crisp fall air sets the night Changed-color leaves' song roars Round about are the wistful stars. +++ September 6, 2014 Form: Free Verse Dr. Ram mehta Tenth Place win Contest: One Autumn Night by P.D. Dr. Ram, this has got to be one of the most amazing poems I have seen from you for descriptive writing of a nature scene. Wow, I love it!! the red faced farmer, what a great line too.

Your use of metaphors makes this one special. Most of what i write reflects death and decay but through poets such as you, I have realized that there is so much beauty in poetry and in nature! Thank you for your kind comments on my poem winning "Any 5 line Poem" by Poet Destroyer.
