One Alone
One used plate,
one dirty glass.
Being a two
did not last.
One person sitting
with one shared past.
One person with
one bag of trash.
One lone person
who must decide
what one should keep,
what one should hide,
what one should send
on a one-way ride.
One person to weep,
one pillow for sleep -
one person feels undone
when she reaches out
and finds no one.
