One
A dromedary treks through the hot desert sands
Its rider wears a patch over one eye
In the distance a single palm tree stands
As they seek an oasis under the desert sun
In the unforgiving heat hallucinations are born
The rider thinks he sees a unicorn
To quench their thirst is their singular quest
As under the sole palm tree they stop to rest
They journey on at a slow rate of speed
Just one oasis is all they need
The one eyed man more than the beast
One drop of water, just one drop at least
Then the solitary rider sees something ahead
He hopes its an oasis and not a mirage instead
But this time it's the real thing
He takes one sip at a time from this desert spring
