Once Was Great
Smokey Babylon,
Cheap, seductive place
All that’s left is an after taste.
Artists polluted,
Real talent has died,
She sits on the water with her hands tied.
Remember her greatness
as she starts to sink,
Jot it all down,
this time with ink.
For nations were jealous
Right before she faded,
Now they rise up
extremely elated.
