Once Upon a Memory

Once upon a memory clear, Came a vision from the past. The woman that I once held dear, Now consumed this vision cast. Through tender moments once we shared, To that moment we would part. The memory of her unimpaired, And still echoed in my heart. Though fate would steal her love away, I still chose to pay the cost. And though she left I chose to stay, To reflect on what I lost. Now in the quiet of the night, All alone I pull the shades. I'll toss and turn till morning light, But the memory never fades.
