On Writing Poetry 1
On Wring Poetry
Playing hide and seek with wee, wizard-like words ,
Baring heart and soul to garner the fare
Of a fairy-like or weary world as heard
And seen, to make up lines with a mission rare
Like Ulysses raring to go exploring
With a rare will, alone, on high seas roaring.
Or the Magi who journeyed for all it’s worth
On dreary paths to witness a divine birth.

Form: Rispetto:- Rhy Sch: a-b-a-b-c-c-d-d/ 11 sylls per line.
PS: The allusion in the second stanza is to the “Journey of the Magi” by T.S.Eliot and “Ulysses” by Lord Tennyson, my early influences in life.
