On One Elegant Morning
On One Elegant Morning
T'was early on one elegant morning
When God would without any warning
Throw fine flower seeds down below
So all of us could watch them grow.
Then God brought much morning dew
Which settled and after finally through
Helped me through my trouble and toil
Flowers began breaking through the soil.
Flowers had started out so small at first
After a few days more with much thirst
Would burst forth seeking more room
All were beautiful after they did bloom.
Every day does begin and finally is done
In each flowering bud, I saw God's Son
Some day soon both of Them will see
And want this poem to remind you of me.
