On My Wedding Day
You tell me of the storm over there, I tell you of my calm over here
You tell me of the clusters of hardship over there, I sing to you of bursts of cheer over here
You brought me to you to show me the star, I followed you down the aisle to stay
You tell me to watch,
I want my dress cheap and easy
I want my family big indeed
I want a small getaway or none at all
Money shouldn't decide our fate
Diamonds can fly even without the shine
You know my heart, I know your heart
Always bonded, never blinded
I tell you to feel,
I want to celebrate this union forever
This would be the beginning of a home for both of us
This would be the flower bed where the party never dies
Growing taller with each effort, happy with each jump
Make it an everyday for me, not just a day
Let the ties hold firmly and finely
