On Golden Sands
My husband I and went for a walk on a sandy shore
My one wish was to see a seal then more and more and more
Miles and miles of golden sand as far as the eye can see
Then I espy a bobbing head of a black seal swimming in the sea
Another head appears and more and more, oh I can hardly wait
I stand and count them one by one - gosh I can see eight
Walking hand in hand we share a tender kiss
Golden memories to cherish, an opportunity not to miss
Precious time together with the one you love
Enjoy every moment it’s sent from heaven above
None of us knows what is in store for us and life is all too short
Enjoy the simple things in life while you can is my parting thought
