On Christmas Night
O Santa, O Santa, Come, I'll open the door
Come, come and show me what you store
In your red bag,
Following you like a zigzag
Shall be my own treasure
Which gives me real pleasure
O Santa, I shall have to brag
To my surroundings, to my friends
I really did held your hands
In all innocence,
We shared a dance
And laughed in abundance!
Eyes wide open,
I wait by the window, my heart so laden
With love and thrills, for you the snowman!
O Santa, how magical is the night
Even the snow glows so bright
All waiting for your appearance!
Lo! There by the window sill,
I fell into a deep trance
And knew not when you did prance
And left, in all elegance
My wonderful treasure!
O Santa, next year, I'll be gooder
And shall remain awake till you surrender
O Santa, I shall have that glimpse
That which craves all the children!
