On Blocking

Oh, in this technological age, Mistakes can happen without our intention! Press the wrong key, be forewarned You might lose a poet-friend eternally. Don't get furious and assume the worst, If you are a Pisces, this is an even stronger danger. The person you supported never turned on you. Just made an technological error, maybe they are new? Love the poet over technology, Such is life on the Internet. Hearts broken the internet way. Blocking is a silent error we might make. I have no one blocked, best to find a solution. Turning off a TV, I quite understand. Turning off a fellow poet? Sorry, I feel quite murdered, buried under the sand. I am not alone in this boat~ Just pleading for understanding. Glad you are reading my older ones.so here is an update on blocking. The MEANIES here can still insult you. ^^^You might block a sicko and they attack you under your comment or mine to someone else’s poem.^^^ Since the time this was written..I do have people blocked. One of them cannot help himself but attack me under others poems. A poet with no soul and a poor Poet at best. His ego is hurt, so he can only be happy destroying me and encouraging his entourage to have me removed from Poetry Soup? It’s like murdering another poet. It’s OK, I forgive him. Life is not about hate. But he has enlisted a new poet to take his place. I don’t block haters now,,, you can read their comments. They have no replies to horrific comments. Hugs, Pangie xx

I learned since I wrote this, some looney tunes are on this site. Would make your hair stand on end... Some are vicious in open Post or soupmails. These are now blocked! They are here as naughty kids. To stir up trouble! Not on my block. Such hooligans)))) Panagiota xx

It was a POTD as I recall. Since the writing, things have really changed. You know some of the stuff going on. I was quite idealistic and naive when I wrote this. When people attacked me in open post, I began to block them. Or the latest sneaky letters saying don't block a given poet were not around. I will do it now.I learned not all poets are mentally balanced. Most are! But I have learned my lessons sad to say. I know the stalwart poets here.you are one of them. No poet should stand for abuse, ever. PR xo

Darlene~ my best to you! If anyone cyber-bullies or threatens you..Blocking Then becomes mandatory. No poet needs abuse. Or insults you publicly. You can try to solve it by Soupmail, if you choose. Some of the top poets here block people. May it never happen to you! Huggs~ Panagiota

When I get blocked, which has happened twice, I found out it was accidental and they were not even aware of the block. We are all a bit technically challenged unless we have been trained. I was thrown into the deep end at work and made so many errors because we were not given any training. You have related this wonderfully in your poem Panagiota. Hi Panagiota, I have blocked several poets by accident and once I noticed that I did, I unblocked them. However, I have blocked a few poets because of the content they wrote me in a soupmail. But to block someone over something "petty" isn't right. Great poem and content. Congratulations on getting the poem of the day. It was well deserved:-) Alexis

Where is the BLOCKING component? Am I the last person on SOUP to know? I would probably never use it, but at least I would like to know where it is. I cannot find it on my other poetry site either, and I have been blocked by hundreds of them over there. They barely know me too! Nice one, Panagiota. You have made me think.
